renshuu
A community site that covers vocabulary, kanji, grammar, and quizzes. Useful if you like games and schedules. Easy to over-collect activities.
Good fit if
- Learners who want several Japanese skills in one login
- People who stay motivated by quizzes and schedules
- Beginners who will cap daily activities
Look elsewhere if
- You need one narrow job done well
- Gamification becomes the study
- You already run a full SRS and a course
renshuu is a long-running Japanese study site. It mixes scheduled reviews, kanji, grammar notes, listening clips, and community features. The pitch is convenience: one login instead of five apps.
Who it fits
It fits adults who will keep a modest daily loop and who like quizzes more than a blank Anki deck. The site can cover early vocabulary and kanji without forcing a paid sequence.
Limits
Breadth is the risk. If you turn on every activity, you rebuild the same overload that a single SRS already causes. renshuu is not a speaking tutor and it is not a replacement for reading real pages.
If you already committed to WaniKani or Anki, treat renshuu as optional extra, not a second full path.
